Short Essay - A Visit to A hospital

Lucky are those who can stay away from hospitals. This was the feeling I had while I was returning from a visit to a friend who had been admitted to a hospital following an accident. Smell of medicines greeted me at the entrance of the hospital building. The people I found there were sad and agonised. The faces of patients were twitched in pain whereas the faces of the relative were filled with tension and anxiety. Some patients were groaning while some children were shrieking mostly out of fear. Long queues were found in the O.P.D.  The sight at the hospital ward was also no better.  Patients were lying on their heads while some others had bandages on their arms or legs. Some patients were writhing in pain. Pain, anxiety, tension and helplessness were writ large on their faces. Doctors, nurses and other hospital staff in their white dress were moving about attending to patients.
